BULL KILLS HORSE AND INJURES MAN

Strange Bull in Pasture at Warwick Proves Himself a Fighter.

Warwick, N. D., Oct. 2.—There was a Spanish bull fight staged near here, without matadors and spectators. Charles Butkus rode horseback to his pasture to drive up the cows and found a bull belonging to his neighbor had gotten into the pasture. The animal immediately attacked the horse, knocking it down and trampling Butkus. While the enraged bull was engaged in goring the horse to death, Butkus crawled to a clump of underbrush. After killing the horse, the enraged bull then charged Butkus, but the latter finally escaped from the pasture in a serious condition. He will recover.
