LITTLE GIRL RESCUED TWO YOUNGER BROTHERS

Bowman, N.D., Dec. 19.—Ethel Mole, aged 9 years, saved herself and her two brothers, aged 5 and 7, when they found themselves trapped in a room on the second floor of their home near Bowman, by remarkable quick action. The flames had their origin in the kitchen and reached the stairs, leading up from that room, before the children became aware of their danger.

Breaking a window Ethel climbed out and jumped to the ground, and then directed her little brothers to follow, one by one. As they jumped she broke their fall by trying to catch them. With little protection from the cold the children walked two miles to the nearest neighbors.
