Lightning Hits Horse At Almont

ALMONT May 16. During the rain and hail storm yesterday a horse belonging to a farmer near this city was struck by lightning and killed. There was a heavy fall of rain and during part of the storm there was a fall of hail stones of enormous size, some of them being as "large as hen's eggs", in the language of some who saw them.
