GIRL JUMPED OUT
Automobile Exploded Moments Later—One in Party Injured.
Douglas, N. D., Nov. 15—Miss Bessie Olness received serious injuries when she jumped from an automobile which, a moment later, burst into flames. Other members of the party in the ill-fated machine, Curtis Peterson, Fred Brendemuhl and Miss Edith Kamerus, escaped without injuries.
The car was being operated over a rough country road when the accident happened. Only a moment's warning was given in a small blaze which appeared when the gasoline feed broke, and as the occupants leaped from their places before the car was brought to a stop, there was a loud explosion and the next moment the machine was in flames.
