Gased

The 6-year-old son of Mr. O'Donnell of Windsor, was brought into the city yesterday evening, with a charge of shot in his foot, the result of careless handling of a gun. When out hunting chickens he went to a threshing machine, and, while there, one of the men took a look at his gun and attempted to cock it, in doing which, the hammer slipped, discharging the contents into the boy's foot. He was immediately brought into town, and the foot amputated by a physician. He was afterwards taken to the city hospital, where he now lies—a victim to the "didn't-know-it-was-loaded" fiend.
