QUARREL OVER GIRL CAUSES SHOOTING OF LOVER

The Independent learned from an eye witness that early Saturday morning, at 2 o'clock, one man shot another in the leg at the Great Northern depot. They were quarreling over a girl and seemed to be intoxicated. The injured man was taken to a doctor's office in this city, where the injury was dressed. Strange to say, the doctor was induced to keep the matter quiet.
