Man Robbed While He Slept
Minot, N. D., Oct. 16.—In escaping from a room in which they had been locked with him, two men removed the door from its hinges, departing with John E. Wilkes' money. Today Wilkes is making a fruitless search for his companions who were so affable last night. He and two other men, seeking lodging in a local hotel, were assigned to a single room. The door was locked and Wilkes or one of the other men threw the key over the transom into the hall. Wilkes slept, and when he awakened it was to find the door from its hinges and his purse containing $150 missing.
