Wiese, a prominent farmer living seven and one-half miles southwest of Eldridge, Stutsman county, was instantly killed at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon in an attempt to thaw out a cap on a metal gasoline barrel with a blow torch. A widow and a five-months-old baby survive, she being prostrate over the tragedy.
