ST PAUL, Aug. 12.—Fergus Falls special to Pioneer Press: Lulu Harris, who keeps a house of ill-fame in the suburbs, yesterday afternoon quarrelled with her cook, an old hunchback named Wilson. He fired five shots from a revolver, all of which took effect. Wilson then took laudanum
and rowed out into the lake to die, but being pursued by officers, jumped into the water and was drowned. Miss Harris came here from Jamestown, and her relatives live in Prescott Canada. She died at 4 a.m. today. The body of Wilson, who after the shooting suicided by drowning, was recovered this morning. Both of the bodies will be buried by the county.
