Joseph Primeau and a detachment of Indian police went down to
Moreau river a few days since in quest of men who were cutting wood on the Sioux reservation, and on Tuesday arrested a party of choppers with their teams. The prisoners have been ordered here for examination before United States Commissioner Stewart. The Indians say the woods look like beavers had been cutting in them. and Agent McLaughlin is determined to put a stop to the work.
