William Stoeser, of Grand Harbor, came to Devils Lake Saturday and swore out a warrant for the arrest of Otto Tial on the charge of abduction. It seems that the young Tial ran away with Stoeser's daughter, but before they could have the marriage ceremony performed, the would-be groom fell into the clutches of Sheriff Wagness, who arrested the young fellow at Willow city Monday and brought him to this city for trial. The case, however, was compromised by the girl promising to return home with her parents. Tial boarded Wednesday's train for the west.
