The first accident, attended with serious consequences, that has occurred at the roller rink since its opening, was occasioned by Miss Fronia Vallandigham falling upon, and breaking both bones in her right forearm.—Valley City Democrat.

Mandan.—"Dan Cupid" is reported as being engaged in an after-the-war revival of industry at this point, County Judge Shaw having a volume of applications for marriage licenses unprescedented for many months past.

The pumping station at Berthold was burned Monday night. George Cross, manager of the Farmers' elevator, was filling the five gallon tank of the gasoline engine used to pump water, and the lantern caused the gasoline to explode. Cross was considerably scorched, but was not badly injured. Other buildings in the vicinity were in danger for a time, but the fire was finally controlled.

Workman Badly Crushed.

Oluf Mohn, a coal heaver, was caught between a coal shed and a car that jumped the track at Grafton. Both arms were broken and part of his noes {sp} and cheek and one eye taken off. He was bruised all over the breast and is likely to die. One arm and hand were crushed nearly to pulp.

An aged Scandinavian lady named Aume Grimsend fell down stairs at the Victoria hotel, Fargo. She died a short time after. She was about eighty years old.
