At Mandan Mrs. Parson's little two-year-old daughter fell on the point of an ink eraser and struck it in the left eye. It cut a gash in the eyelid and cut the eyeball but did not open it. Dr. Coe sewed up the wound and hopes that no permanent injury will follow.

Harvey Lad Experiments with Disastrous Results to Himself.

Harvey, N. D., Nov. 15.—Attempting to explode a railroad dynamite torpedo nearly cost James Sprague, the 4-year-old son of John Sprague of this city, his life. The lad gave the torpedo a blow with a hammer, and in the explosion which resulted he received several bad wounds, the tin being driven into his flesh. Unless infection sets in he will recover.

Moorhead was thrown into a state of wild excitement Tuesday, by the murderous assault of T. H. Hansən {sp} upon his divorced wife. It seems that he fired at her four times, the fourth shot inflicting a dangerous wound. He then shot himself in the leg. Upon the appearance of the sheriff he stabbed himself eight times in his desperate attempts at suicide. His wounds are not fatal and he will soon be tried for his crime.

Miscreants stole everything loose from Jim Gagnum's house near Portal. Not being satisfied with what was in the house, they took off the doors and windows.

Carbolic Acid Nearly Fatal

Harvey, N. D., Oct. 16.—Mrs. William Lamb, residing a few miles west of Harvey, came near being the victim of a fatal accident when she took a teaspoonful of carbolic acid by mistake for some other medicine. But a part of the acid was swallowed, the mistake being realized as soon as it was in her mouth, and most of the acid being spit out. Some severe burns, mostly in her mouth resulted. A complete recovery from the mischance will be but a matter of time.

A burglar entered the residence of Mrs. Bishop at Pierre, took her money and assaulted her, but she knocked him down with a chair and pounded him until he was glad to make his escape.
