DRIVER RUNS DOWN GIRL AND DOESN'T STOP TO AID HER
Linton, N.D., Nov 23—The driver of a car which ran down the seven year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs S Schlossen, while the little girl was playing in front of the Kuntz school building, did not stop to ascertain the condition of his victim, who, when picked up by her playmates, was found to have sustained a badly fractured leg and several bruises about the body.

Boy, Swimming With Clothes On, Drowns
Marmarth, N.D., May 31—Loren, 11, son of George Anderson of this city, was drowned in the Milwaukee Railroad company's reservoir here Saturday afternoon. Three boys used a boat to reach a small island from which they fished, but one tiring of the fishing took the boat back to the mainland. Young Anderson and a companion tried to swim back with all their clothes on and had nearly made the distance when Anderson called for help. His chum, Archie Knutson, nearly lost his life attempting to rescue him.

Judge Frees Accused Man
A verdict directed by the court was made yesterday in the case of "The State against E.W. Dick."
Judge Niessle took the case from the jury on the grounds of insufficient evidence. E.W. Dick of Steele was acquitted.

Violet, six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Westman of near
Benedict, was accidentally shot and fatally injured by her 10 year old brother, while the youngsters were at play near their farm home. The little girl was rushed to the Minot hospital where she died during the night.

"Jerre the Bum," well known in Bismarck as a former frequent resident of the county jail, was shot and killed at Sturgis City Monday, by a man named Smith, a variety hall pianist.
