An attempt was made Thursday to rob the money drawer at Way's shell and curio tent. A slit was cut in the tent and through this the robber reached and procured the money box. Mr. Way who was sitting in the tent grabbed his gun and gave chase. He fired at the robber at close range but unfortunately the gun was only a twenty eight and failed to do execution. The robber dropped the money and fled.
