Joseph Kosobud, a young Walsh county farmer, living seventeen miles southwest of
Park River, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. He died almost instantly. Kosobud was a young man of good habits and character. He had for sometime been despondent over the rejection of his suit by a young woman with whom he was in love. This was the cause of his suicide. Coroner Holldorson held an inquest, and a formal verdict was returned.
