SHELL EXPLODED.
Goodrich, N. D.—Henry Block, son of Mrs. Barbara Block, residing south of Denhoff, was the victim of a shotgun accident which occurred at the Sperry ranch. A number of young men had been out hunting and while one of the party, L. W. Curtis, was taking a gun apart a shell exploded. The full charge hit Block, who was sitting a few feet away, in the leg just above the knee.

RAN AWAY WITH BIG SAFE.
While engaged in moving a big safe into the LeSueur block Saturday afternoon, the team owned by the Hodgins Transfer company, became frightened at a parade given by some small boys, and started to run away. The safe was but partially in the building, was pulled out onto the side walk and dragged up the street for thirty feet before the horses stopped. While passing thru the doors, the safe caught, and the doors were pulled loose and thrown to the walk, the breaking glass making a terrible racket. The damage to the building did not exceed $100.

Marshal Mears, one day this week had a burying party out, who placed under the sod the carcases
{sp} of ten horses and one dog, which have been nuisances in the suburbs of the city since spring. A man losing a horse during winter, ought to see to it that it be buried as soon as spring comes.

Baby Drowned in a Tub
Ruth, the 1½-year-old daughter of George W. Buskingham, of Grand Forks, was drowned in a tub of water in the back yard of her home tonight. The family were taking supper at the time, the child supposedly playing with her twin sister in the yard. A minute before the fatality occurred she was heard to call her father. An older sister went to fetch the child in and found her with her head under the water and feet on the ground, life being extinct.

Wimbledon—Leonard Sisk had both collar bones broken and several ribs dislocated when he was run down by a team of horses while riding his bicycle.
