DR. MOELLER FOUND GUILTY AS CHARGED
The Jury Returned a Verdict After Forty-Eight Hours Deliberation
SENTENCED TO TEN YEARS IN THE STATE PENITENTIARY
New Trial Will be Asked for and Case Will be Fought Through Every Court Before the Defense Will Surrender Its Contest.
Minot, N.D., March 1.—The jury in the case of the state against Dr. Thor Moeller who is charged with second degree murder in having caused the death of Gina Lien by means of a criminal operation last October, brought in a verdict of guilty as charged in the information yesterday at 3:30 o'clock after having had the case under consideration since Friday evening. Judge Goss immediately sentenced the defendant to ten years in the state penitentiary. A motion for a new trial will at once be made and the case will be fought to the bitter end.
The verdict will have some bearing on the case of L.W. Dale, who is charged with the same offense. It is alleged that he was responsible for the condition of the unfortunate girl and that he procured the services of Dr. Moeller at the time the alleged criminal operation was performed.

Mrs. Christine Tomnefson, 95 years old, thought to be the oldest woman in the state committed suicide early Monday morning at Devils Lake by jumping from a second story window. The woman had been blind for twenty five years and of late her mind had been failing.

John Currington, of Glasgow, Mont., a moral and physical deformity, was last week sentenced to the Montana state penitentiary for life, for the crime of rape on his own 12-year-old sister.

Accidentally Killed.
Waubay, S.D., Feb. 21.—Anthony Pies, a German farmer boy aged seventeen, accidentally shot himself while taking a gun from the sleigh to shoot a jack rabbit. The charge blew off the top of his head.

Neche fell on the slippery side walk and sprained her ancle {sp} very badly. Side walks are very dangerous everywhere this winter and we wonder that we don't hear of more such accidents.
